This large-scale exhibition project explores “light” as both an artistic and metaphysical archetype, bringing the works of Christian Boltanski and Shay Frisch into dialogue. Installed throughout the Palace galleries, the exhibition examines their relationship through distinct yet complementary perspectives, engaging with aesthetics and contemporary art. Boltanski imbues light with memory, transforming it into spectral symbols, while Frisch works with electric fields, distorting iconography and creating new meanings. Both artists reject decorative approaches, rethinking familiar forms. Here, light becomes pure energy — a flow of memory emerging from darkness.
